Growing from a small team to an agrochemical production enterprise with independent R&D capabilities, continually evolving based on the dynamic market demands for the past 28 years, TrustChem has established its presence in the major agricultural markets. As the company continues to focus on product development and brand building, Huiping Di, General Manager for TrustChem Co, Ltd. offered four points of advice to stay competitive in today’s agrochemical global market.
ABG: What does a crop protection company need to do to stay competitive in today’s market?

Huiping Di
Huiping Di: There are four main points for staying competitive. The first is market positioning. Through precise analysis of the target market, we determine the differentiation and uniqueness of our products to enhance our competitiveness. Our product development is tailored to the real needs of our main markets, focusing on niche products rather than merely expanding capacity. From technicals to formulations, we strive to closely align with the market and the genuine needs of our users.
For instance, with imidazolinone herbicides, we focus on a single product like imazamox, closely following market demand, controlling technical supply, and leveraging our expertise in formulation development to quickly respond and provide customized WG/SL formulations for our valued clients. TrustChem aims not to be the biggest conglomerate, but to achieve our set goals steadily.
Second is technological innovation. By introducing advanced technologies and processes, we improve production efficiency and quality while reducing expenditure, ultimately providing better products to meet diverse market demands. Moreover, we strengthen deep integration with research institutions, combining research and market insights to address industry bottlenecks. By driving collaborative innovation, we can further ensure the successful implementation of research findings.
Third is enhancing brand influence. A strong brand image, high-quality products, and exceptional services that meet the needs of the target market are crucial for increasing customer loyalty. When customers encounter difficulties, we actively communicate with them and provide diversified, yet customized services based on a long-term cooperation principle. Additionally, we support and cooperate with small and medium-sized local distributors worldwide who share our win-win philosophy. Beyond business relationships, we cherish and foster genuine friendships by improving production techniques, supplying production equipment, and controlling costs for our valued partners.
Lastly is environmental responsibility. TrustChem is not only focused on developing green pesticide products but also on innovating environmentally friendly packaging materials. In June 2023, we were thrilled to announce the completion of our Biodegradable Pesticide Packaging Bottle project, which received high praise as internationally advanced and domestically leading. We are actively promoting this product to the market, significantly contributing to the solution of pesticide packaging’s white pollution.
ABG: With China working toward sustainability, has TrustChem had to change anything to comply with sustainability practices at its facilities?
HD: Firstly, our company has always adhered to the core principles of green, environmentally friendly, and sustainable development. We place our customers at the center of our operations and provide continuous technological innovation and customized production services throughout the entire lifecycle of our products. This approach ensures we consistently offer the highest quality solutions to the global crop protection market.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences (JAAS), we established the JAAS – TrustChem Bio-pesticide Industry Research Institute in 2021. Guided by the principle of “enterprise poses the question, the institute solves it,” we welcome the establishment of our green bio-pesticide production base, further reinforcing our commitment to sustainability. On the other hand, we have prioritized the Bacillus subtilis ST15 product, an environmentally friendly solution to bacterial diseases in rice, by ensuring its registration, large-scale production, and both domestic and international sales.
ABG: What are TrustChem’s plans for the future?
HD: In the next decade, TrustChem aims to introduce more unique, high-tech technical products to the market while developing new formulations. We will adhere to our strategy of closely collaborating with overseas distributors, nurturing our customers, growing together, and actualizing the vision of serving global agriculture. Trustchem will continue prioritizing product quality and staying focused on advancements in the biotechnology sector as we retain great confidence in our future growth. •
