Veganic Launches MicroGea Technology Based on Its Own Exclusive Registered Microorganisms

Veganic, a leading company in effective biosolutions for agriculture, announces the launch of its new MicroGea technology. This revolutionary technology is based on exclusive endophytic microorganisms from its own strains, which have been discovered and characterized by Veganic’s R&D team. The freeze-dried strains are already deposited and registered in its name in the CECT (Spanish Type Culture Collection), one of the most prestigious worldwide, with the certificate numbers CECT 31207 and 31208.

These exclusive strains discovered and protected worldwide by Veganic are the following:

  • Bacillus subtilis VE1722
  • Bacillus atrophaeus VE0706
  • Bacillus halotolerans VN323
  • Bacillus megaterium VN324

MicroGea is designed to improve nutrient use efficiency within the global acronym NUE (Nutrient Use Efficiency). It enables all fertilization applied to crops to be optimized throughout the entire crop cycle, reducing NPK inputs and, in turn, boosting soil health. It provides farmers with an advanced, environmentally friendly tool to maximize productivity, by optimizing all the nutrients in the soil and those applied during the cycle. In addition, it improves soil microbiota and maintains a living soil, which favors crop sustainability and productivity.

MicroGea innovation: Technology based on Veganic’s proprietary strain

MicroGea technology represents a significant breakthrough in the field of agricultural biofertilization and bioprotection. Veganic has developed a microbial technology that includes biological engineering, as well as genetic sequencing and characterization, for precision fertilization. This technology optimizes crop yields in a sustainable way. Based on customized consortia of microorganisms such as rhizobacteria (PGPR), lactic acid bacteria and their derivatives, MicroGea promotes a balanced microbiome. It improves nutrient uptake and solubilization and strengthens plant resistance to different types of stress. All this aligns with Veganic’s philosophy of conscious agriculture.

Field applicability: Four innovative biofertilizers

MicroGea is mainly applied in four innovative biofertilizers developed by Veganic, designed to address different crop needs and improve nutrient efficiency and soil health. The products, registered as organic biofertilizers in the EU, are:

1. Vitagea PREBOOR

Solid formulation with Bacillus megaterium. Focused on intensive crops, it has rhizospheric action to optimize nutrient use (NUE) through nitrogen (N) fixation, phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) solubilization with organic acids and enzymes, and iron (Fe) mobilization with siderophores.

2. Vitagea HAZOOR

Solid formulation with Bacillus halotolerans, ideal for soils with low organic matter. It has endophytic action that improves the absorption of N and P, fixing nitrogen and solubilizing phosphorus by means of organic acids and enzymes.

3. Vitagea CAPTOOR

Liquid formulation with Bacillus megaterium, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Azotobacter vinelandii. Improves nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (NUE) uptake under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. The bacteria it contains work synergistically to improve nutrient availability, especially nitrogen. It has the greatest versatility and adaptability to different soil and climatic conditions. It also improves plant tolerance to abiotic factors.

4. Vitagea REGESOOR

Liquid formulation based on 7 types of rhizobacteria (PGPR). Improves soil health, regenerates degraded or heavily damaged soils, optimizes nutrient absorption and increases water retention. It acts in the rhizosphere to regenerate the soil, improve fertility and reduce the uptake of heavy metals such as cadmium. It promotes root growth and improves soil quality, resulting in healthy plant development.
