Nutrien Ag Solutions, Wilbur-Ellis Among Top Ranked U.S. Ag Retailers in 2024

CropLife magazine, sister publication to AgriBusiness Global, has once again published its CropLife 100, the 41st edition of the original listing of the largest U.S. ag retailers ranked by sales. “According to the 2024 CropLife 100 survey, the largest ag retailers recorded revenues totaling $43.3 billion this year,” said CropLife Editor Eric Sfiligoj.

Nutrien Ag Solutions again maintains its position as the country’s leading retailer, with more than $1 billion in sales, 45 states served, and 1,500-plus retail outlets. This marks the 41st year Nutrien has appeared in the CropLife 100. There was also significant movement at the top of the list (A.K.A. “the over $1 billion club”) during 2024. Two large Indiana-based cooperatives – Co-Alliance and Ceres Solutions – formally combined their businesses to create Keystone Cooperative. This not only added a new member to the “Big Seven” ag retailers (now “Big Eight”) but boosted the overall market share of these top companies among all CropLife 100 ag retailers by 3%, to 70%.

Here’s how the entire top 10 ag retailers shook out:

  1. Nutrien Ag Solutions
  2. Helena Agri-Enterprises
  3. GROWMARK
  4. Simplot Grower Solutions
  5. CHS
  6. GreenPoint AG
  7. Wilbur-Ellis
  8. Keystone Cooperative
  9. Agtegra Cooperative
  10. MFA
