Incitec Joins IPNI

Australia-based Incitec Pivot has joined the International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI), becoming an official full member during IPNI’s Board of Directors meeting in mid-May in Vienna, Austria, according to the IPNI web site.

Director and Chief Executive Officer Julian Segal and James Whiteside, general manager, Supply Chain and Trading, have been elected as the two representatives of the company who will serve on the IPNI Board of Directors. Incitec Pivot has headquarters in Southbank, Victoria, Australia, and operates a phosphate mine in Queensland as well as plants in Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria. The company has a distribution network ranging from North Queensland to Tasmania, and supplies more than half of Australia’s crop nutrient needs.

In addition to sales across eastern and southern Australia, Incitec exports fertilizer to overseas markets through its recently established trading arm, Southern Cross International.
