Smithers Expands Testing Facility for Biopesticides
Smithers, a leading provider of testing, consulting, information, and compliance services, announced that its new Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) compliant microbiology laboratory is now operational. This expanded facility enhances our biopesticide testing capabilities, offering increased capacity for analytical dose-verification and the ability to perform Analysis of Samples (5-Batch) and Storage Stability testing.
The BSL-2 laboratory containment standards enable the safe handling and analysis of microorganisms for testing required as part of regulatory packages, including product analysis y environmental toxicology studies. With added equipment and systems designed for efficiency, this expansion also increases capacity to handle a larger volume of samples and a broader range of tests.
