Biolevel Announces New Appointments to Executive Team

Biolevel Ltd., a global biological nutrition company dedicated to developing and delivering a new generation of products that benefit farmers, has appointed Bill Cordingley as Chief Executive Officer. A senior executive of 19 years at Rabobank Group in both New York and Sydney, Cordingley most recently served as the bank’s Global Head of Grains, Oilseeds and Sugar in its Corporate Finance Group. His wealth of global agribusiness finance experience, and leadership expertise, positions Biolevel for a new phase of rapid growth to become a global biologicals market leader.

“Bill brings his extensive industry knowledge to Biolevel at the right time to lead the company through a period of rapid growth,” said Laurence Berman, Chairman & Co-Founder. “We have had a longstanding relationship with Bill and we are thrilled to bring him into our organization. He’s a well-respected leader with a sharp commercial acumen, a strong track record of building winning teams and establishing deep client relationships, and he has a passion for agriculture.”

“I’m truly excited to take this next step in my career with Biolevel, one of the best early stage agri tech companies I’ve ever seen,” said Cordingley. “Having known the founders for a number of years, I’ve had the privilege of watching them steadily and quietly build their business by focusing on ensuring their products stand out amongst competitors, specifically in terms of strain performance and efficacy, product stability and shelf life, and ease of use for farmers and distributors. There is no other biological product in the market that brings these three crucial pillars together like Biolevel and I’m thrilled to be joining the team on this journey.”

Cordingley will be joined at Biolevel by experienced agrifoodtech marketer Nathalie Gibson, whose role as consultant Marketing Director will have her oversee the company’s integrated marketing strategy, including the upcoming launch of new products. Gibson comes to Biolevel from AgFunder where she was the Head of Partnerships. Prior to that she spent 10 years at Rabobank managing their global innovation platform Foodbytes.

These appointments are a welcomed addition to Biolevel’s executive leadership, which includes the founding members, Laurence Berman, Chairman & Co-Founder, Lutz Glandorf, President & Co-Founder, Ian Robertson, Co-Founder, and the expanded team of Ändrea McVeigh, Chief Technical Officer, and Trevor Shea, Sales Director, North America, as well as a team of agents in Biolevel’s operating markets.

McVeigh is an award-winning agri industry innovator and is listed as an inventor on more than two dozen granted United States agricultural patents. McVeigh will focus on managing the company’s ongoing R&D program, which includes working with universities and commercial partners to validate product efficacy and spearheading ongoing trials in new crops and regions.

Shea has a strong track record of commercial sales success in many industries. In his new role, he will be responsible for brokering distribution partnerships between Biolevel and industry-leading companies in both the United States and Canada. Prior to Biolevel, he successfully founded, grew and operated businesses, including a $500 million gross revenue real estate company, a finance company, and an industrial painting facility for engine blocks and other parts.

“It’s an exciting time of growth for Biolevel,” said Lutz Glandorf, President & Co-Founder. “Having created a portfolio of market leading biological solutions, with unprecedented efficacy and user convenience, we are ready to dramatically scale our commercial operation. Bringing Bill, Nat, Andrea and Trevor to our team is a crucial step on our journey to bring the best bionutrition to farmers all around the world. We are thrilled to have them on board.”

The expansion of the leadership team comes at a critical time for Biolevel – as the company nears a period of rapid growth and change. Having entered the market in 2018, and after years of successful validation trials the company is now scaling its commercial operations in North America, focused primarily on the Corn Belt. Biolevel has signed important strategic partnerships with some of the leading distributors in North America and the United Kingdom, including WinField United, My Yield, Diamond R, Grow Source, Sollio Agromart, and Certis Belchim. Additionally, Biolevel is pursuing a strategy of onboarding independent farmer and agronomist dealers to its distributor network to drive on-farm adoption across the midwest.

Biolevel has spent more than 20 years developing and validating its portfolio of market-leading biologicals for corn, soybeans, potatoes, cereals, and other crops. Biolevel products are based on a robust consortium of natural microbes that synergistically unlock Nitrogen, solubilise phosphorus and potassium, and promote micronutrient uptake at the root of the plant. They are bred to be highly robust and are tolerant to agronomic, environmental, and logistical stresses. They are formulated in powdered or liquid form to be applied conveniently as either seed treatments, in the planter box or with additional fertilizer or pesticide inputs. Biolevel products have a market leading two-year shelf life, and require no refrigeration or additional fermentation, making them the most convenient to use in the market. Biolevel products are also a proven, safe, and reliable contributor to reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions from farming.

Biolevel bionutrition products are available from an expanding network of retailers in North America, Europe and Africa.
