Jubilant Organosys Acquires Specialty Molecules
13 May 2008 India-based Jubilant Organosys has acquired Indian intermediates manufacturer Specialty Molecules, reports India Infoline. Specialty Molecules is in the business of developing, manufacturing, and selling speciality intermediates, primarily pyridine derivatives.
Shyam S Bhartiya, Chairman and Managing Director, and H. S. Bhartia, Co-Chairman and Managing Director of Jubilant Organosys, said in a statement that “this acquisition will further strengthen Jubilant’s Halogenation capabilities as we plan to sell and also use this speciality intermediates captively for various life science derivatives which will help us to offer products based on a common platform at very competitive prices to our global customers who are sector leaders in the Pharma and agrochemical business.”
