Tessenderlo Unit Acquires Dupont Herbicide Assets

Belgian chemicals and plastics group Tessenderlo announced that its US unit Tessenderlo Kerley Inc. (TKI) had acquired DuPont Crop Protection‘s linuron herbicide assets, according to Reuters. Linuron is a speciality herbicide used primarily in carrot, asparagus, celery, potato, cotton and soybean, currently marketed under the DuPont Lorox and Linex brands, as well as several associated trademarks.

While the group did not disclose financial details of the agreement, TKI will acquire global rights to the linuron business, including trade names, registrations and registration data, said Tessenderlo.
