DuPont To Divest Fluometuron To MANA
10 September 2007 Cotoran controls pre- and post-emergence broadleaf weeds and annual grasses. Cotoran 4L will remain available from MANA in a 4-pound liquid formulation. MANA Senior Marketing Manager for herbicides David Downing, said, "We focus on providing North American growers with what they want and what they need to be successful in today’s global market. Cotoran has been an important product for cotton growers across the country for many years, and will become even more significant as glyphosate resistance becomes more of a national issue."
MANA has been the sole supplier of the active ingredient fluometuron to DuPont since 1999. As part of the Cotoran acquisition, MANA receives all registrations, regulatory data, trademark rights, and existing inventories of the herbicide.
