Arysta, Cheminova to Sell New Fungicide
Arysta LifeScience and Cheminova have announced a partnership to combine two fungicide chemistries to create a product called Fortix.
The product will combine Arysta’s fluoxastrobin, the fast-acting strobilurin, and Cheminova’s flutriafol, the longest-lasting triazole. The companies will jointly market and sell the fungicide.
Fortix can be used to treat diseases including frogeye leaf spot, brown spot and powdery mildew in soybeans. It is registered in soybeans and has pending registration in corn, and can be applied once, early, via ground or aerial application.
“We believe the unique combination of these two chemistries from Arysta LifeScience and Cheminova will provide soybean growers with a fungicide that goes above and beyond what is currently available,” said Kevin Staska, product manager, Arysta LifeScience. “Growers should see positive results in both their fields and their wallets.”
The two companies are pursuing registration on other row crops.
