Crop protection professionals from around the world came together 8-9 December in India for this unprecedented event dedicated to sharing information and exploring strategies for navigating what has become a volatile market for sourcing intermediates, tech and formulated products.

The FCI Global Sourcing Summit - Asia offered attendees a wealth of business value – unmatched by any other industry event. Delegates were able to visit with respected companies ready to do business and learn from crop protection professionals from around the world.

Pesticides for the crop protection market have seen fairly steady growth since 2009 with and should exceed more than $60 billion in 2014. Asia remains the leading market for pesticides followed by Europe, Latin America, North America, and the Middle East and Africa. These areas have shown growth, with the exception of the Middle East and Africa which has remained mostly flat since 2008 showing only a slight uptick in the past couple of years.

The Global Sourcing Summit wasn't all show floor meetings and educational sessions. The event was held at the Vivanta By Taj hotel, and attendees were able to relax next to the fountain in the hotel's courtyard.

That’s a big issue, big problem. There is no judicious use of pesticides. They are not being educated by the agencies and under these conditions, resistance becomes worse."
