This year, 17 companies will be added to the list. Representatives of those organizations came to the Hyatt Regency in Washington, DC, to participate in Celebration Week, which began with a poster session. The night’s events included posters that featured information highlighting the activities that earned each company an ERA honor.
The night also included short videos featuring each company and introductions that gave the companies an opportunity to introduce themselves to their peers. Activities later in the week include a dinner cruise on the Potomac River, visits to DC’s world famous Smithsonian Institution, meetings with members of Capitol Hill for the representatives from the U.S. or embassies for the delegates from the rest of the world.
The week ends with a grand finale gala celebration where the delegates will receive their trophies and the four Ambassadors of Respect will be recognized. These are the four companies honored for their truly special commitment to the ideals of environmental stewardship and sustainability. The four ambassadors will come from four regions around the world: North America, Latin America, Europe/Middle East/Africa, and Asia Pacific.
