Selness has worked across multiple agricultural and pharmaceutical research disciplines over the last three decades, including the last 15 years at Bayer, where he currently leads the Analytical Sciences Team focused on the development, process validation, and registration of new crop protection products. Previously, Selness led the Emerging Technologies team for Bayer's Crop Science division, and prior to that, a formulation team that developed various seed treatments under the company's Accerelon® brand. Shaun received his Ph. D. in organic chemistry from the University of Illinois.

Dr. Ashish Batra

Batra leads Crop Health R&D, overseeing the end-to-end discovery, development, launch, and post-launch R&D support. With a career spanning nearly two decades, Batra has made significant contributions to the field of chemical engineering, sustainability, and crop protection. He earned a doctoral degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University. He has 24 granted U.S. patents and 18 external publications to his name.

Dr. Sara Monteiro
Head of Global R&D Biocontrol and Adjuvants

Monteiro co-founded a private company with the objective of developing and manufacturing new patented protein-based fungicides. In 2019, she decided to embrace a new position as the R&D and Operations Manager of Oroagri Europe, SA. In 2021, Oroagri was acquired by the Rovensa Group. After a merge process of several companies from the Rovensa group, Rovensa Next was created. She is currently the Head of Global R&D Biocontrol and Adjuvants at Rovensa Next. Monteiro has a Ph.D. degree in agro-industry engineering from Lisbon University.
