Farm Chemicals International Becomes AgriBusiness Global

Crop protection is a critical part of global trade and local agronomy, and FCI (Farm Chemicals International) has covered it extensively for 30 years. During this time, we’ve noticed an evolution: Farmers increasingly rely on distributors and retailers to offer agronomic solutions that include biocontrols, plant health products and agronomic advice in addition to specialty agrichemicals. We’ve acknowledged this progression with our content for some time as we cover emerging seed technologies, biocontrols, plant health, and good agricultural practices that enable manufacturers and distributors to capitalize on different business opportunities that percolate through the value chain.

The new AgriBusiness Global formalizes this evolution in our content, event attendance, and readership around the world. We will continue to be the leading resource for crop protection product manufacturers, trading companies, exporters, importers, and regional and national distributors. Our mission continues to be to link buyers and sellers around the world as we have through our circulation in 140+ countries, our Trade Summit that has grown into the premier global sourcing event, and our websites, including the AgriBusiness Global Sourcing Network. We will continue to serve the companies and people that drive the world’s $62-billion crop protection industry around the world.

Some of our brand enhancements will include:

• New magazine department and website navigation for biocontrols, the fastest growing crop protection segment. This nearly $2-billion segment relies on the crop protection value chain to educate retailers and farmers about new technologies that can help fight pests while maintaining few to no residues for highly regulated markets.
• New magazine department and website navigation for plant health products. Micronutrients and biostimulants are growing at a rapid pace as more research unveils the complexity and potential in supporting a plant’s microbiome.
• Larger Emerging Technologies Pavilion at the AgriBusiness Global Trade Summit, a premier sourcing event attended by more than 350 companies from 40+ countries.
• New company and product listings for biocontrols and plant health at the AgriBusiness Global Sourcing Network, and online portal that allows companies to search for products and companies, list products, and query companies for products, prices and other information.
• AgriBusiness Global Update: A new name for our weekly email newsletter to more than 30,000 readers. Stay tuned for a video segment by the same name in 2016.
