Fertilizer Specialist Receives Crop Certification
The American Society of Agronomy has named Walt Sandbeck, fertilizer specialist at AGGRAND Natural Fertilizers, a Superior, Wisconsin-based company, a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA).
To attain this prestigious certification, Sandbeck passed both an International CCA exam and the State of Wisconsin CCA Exam, worked for nearly 10 years as a crop advisor and provided documentation of professional competence.
As a Certified Crop Advisor, Sandbeck has signed and agreed to uphold the CCA Code of Ethics. This means he will always focus on grower profitability while optimizing and protecting natural resources, according to AGGRAND.
To maintain his CCA Certification Sandbeck must earn 40 hours of approved continuing education units (CEUs) every two years. CEUs must be divided between nutrient management, soil and water management, integrated pest management, crop management and professional development. Research scientists at land grant universities provide much of this cutting edge training.
The Certified Crop Advisor Program is administered by the American Society of Agronomy in Madison, WI. Since 1993, only 13,500 men and women in the United States and Canada have earned and maintained their CCA designation.
AGGRAND creates liquid fertilizers and offers products that support and enhance the sustainable agriculture efforts of the farmer, nursery professional, lawn care specialist, golf course superintendent, wildlife food plot manager, and home gardener.
