DuPont Launches Two Herbicides
DuPont Crop Protection has received US approvals for the corn herbicides Resolve Q (rimsulfuron + thifensulfuron methyl) and Require (rimsulfuron + dicamba), according to a company release. Both products feature DuPont’s Q brand safener technology to give growers flexability to apply the herbicides on more hybrids, with a broader range of adjuvants, and under more diverse weather conditions, the company says.
Both herbicides were designed to provide contact plus residual control of tough grass and broadleaf weeds in glyphosate-tolerant corn programs. Resolve controls many weeds that glyphosate alone struggles with, such as morningglory, lambsquarter and velvetleaf. Require Q features multiple modes of action to provide control of tough weeds that are resistant to glyphosate and/or ALS chemistries.
“Resolve Q and Require Q herbicides offer advanced weed control for today’s toughest weed challenges, including sound management of glyphosate-resistant and/or tolerant weeds,” said James C. Collins, Jr., vice president and general manager – DuPont Crop Protection.
