World Of Respect Winners Tour US
29 July 2007 World of Respect 2007 winners Cooperativa dos Cafeicultores e Citricultores de Sao Paulo of Brazil and Cantho Pesticide Co. of Vietnam were honored in a special ceremony in the US Capitol Building. Coopercitrus’ Jair Guessi and Cantho’s Nguyen Thanh Tam traveled to Miami, Florida to visit citrus growers, then on to Washington, DC to meet with representatives from the US Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and to receive their trophies. From Washington, DC, they were taken to Wilmington, Delaware to tour DuPont before traveling onward to New York City.
The World of Respect trophy is awarded each year to recognize the efforts of crop protection dealers who make the investment and commitment to manage their businesses and products in an environmentally respectful way.
The 2007 national Environmental Respect winner, Wisconsin River Agronomy, LLC, was announced at the same ceremony.
